Emmett Frederick, Director of Operations
Emmett graduated from Saginaw Valley State College with a degree in Pre-Law. He then went on to become a Detroit Police Sergeant for 15 years, then transferred to The Toledo Police Department, where he retired. Since then he has held positions such as District Loss Prevention Manager for Perry Drug Store, Director of Security and Transportation for Motor City Casino. Emmett has established great relationships with all clients and employees. He is a valuable asset and his leadership drives this company.
Jim Freeman Jr. Senior Account Manager

Prior to joining Interstate Security Services, Jim, served as Director of Security, for the Nevada Cancer Institute. In on the ground floor, Jim instituted the Department of Security, initializing all Security Operating procedures for the Institute. Also, he was instrumental in the opening of “The Grand Canal Shoppes” as part of the contract security services, within the Shoppes, working closely with the Security Staff associated with the Venetian Hotel and Casino. Jim brings with him over 30 years of experience, going back to IBM, Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles, as well as several High-Rise accounts in the Bel-Air, Brentwood areas of Los Angeles, as well.
Vanessa Coleman, Administrative Operations/Business Development:
Vanessa worked for many years in Guest VIP/Front Desk Services at a prestigious London (UK) Casino. She emigrated from London to the US in 2002 and quickly landed a Supervisory role at The Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art in Las Vegas. When the Wynn Resort contacted her to take a similar position at the Wynn Gallery which was due to open in the spring of 2005, she jumped at the chance. The Wynn Gallery closed after 8 months, (to make way for a more lucrative retail operation) and Vanessa transferred into the retail buying department. After two years and following a desire to continue in an Art related field, she took a position with S2Art as a Sales Consultant in December of 07. In the spring of 08, finding her-self in search of financial stability, Vanessa applied for many full-time positions across the Vegas valley, and finally took a position with Interstate Security Services, Inc. Vanessa demonstrates terrific interpersonal skills and solid administrative skills, she is a team player and an asset to our marketing efforts.
Lane Holmes Account Manager
Has over two years with Interstate Security Services specializing in HOA Security, board interaction and Security Advisory Committee actions. Thorough knowledge of HOA compliance and implementing Post Orders based on a communities request. Perform continues training with all O.I.C.’s in order that the communities are provided with the most up to date technology available. In 1990, Lane came to Las Vegas and opened up a night club, a west coast swing dance facility and developed it from the ground up. His night club was the rated the best night club in Las Vegas by the RJ for the 35 years old and up crowd for three years running. Then Lane spent 12 years with Boyd Gaming Casino working in the beverage department, dealing with the installation of remodeled bars and night clubs and preparing them for opening. He assisted in staffing, scheduling, and ordering products. All of Lane’s experience, handling multiple situations has helped in his development as a manager.
William Banta Account Manager

William Banta is an experienced leader and manager. William retired from a career in the United States Army as a senior non-commissioned officer where his career focused on physical and personnel security. He was the security manager for Spanish Hills HOA prior to coming to Interstate Security Services in 2009. He is now Security Manager for the Las Vegas Country Club Estates. In this capacity, he interacts with the residents, the HOA Master Association and it’s staff, as well as members of the Board of Directors. Bill is a welcomed and valuable asset to us here at Interstate Security Services.
