Service Evaluation Period
We employ a sixty-day service evaluation period where site-specific problems may be evaluated and discussed with management, thereby establishing a working relationship with Interstate Security Services and you.  As with all of our clients, the document of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) will emerge as a working agreement of site-specific services to be provided and how we mutually agree in providing these services.  After (and during) the evaluation period, specific and agreed upon changes, if any, will be implemented to deliver the security services you desire.

People Ambassadors
We view security needs as falling into two distinct categories.  During the day, tenants and their guests, customers and clients will be arriving and leaving the premises. We view personnel needs during this time more as "people ambassadors" than security officers where the greatest asset to be secured is tenant relationships, tenant recognition and site image rather than property.  This conceptual approach requires a calculated balance of the typical physical security presence concept with a subtler communicator, greeter/guide approach with people assistance skills.  Interstate Security Services envisions filling these "people ambassador" positions through a careful screening process accomplished at the hiring level and reinforced with an expanded training program to include not only standard security procedures, but also extensive training on "people skills".  Ongoing training will enhance self-development and ensure continuous improvement and continuity of service and image.
During the late evening hours, security needs change to the more typical physical property control scenario.  During this period the hard military-like physical presence approach with highly visible uniformed officers would be appropriate.

Uniforms
Great care has been given to the design of our uniforms so that our clients and the public at large will notice our security officer's appearances.  Each security officer is tailor fitted by a supplier who specializes in uniforms.   However, should you decide that you would prefer to alter the uniforms to project a different image; Interstate Security will readily assist you in any uniform conversion project.

Security Officer Compensation
We at Interstate Security have always endeavored to entice the highest quality of security officers within the constraints of what the market will afford.  With our extensive experience in securing properties, we know that this is not always an easy task.  Therefore, in lieu of the typical wage rates of $6.00 to $7.50 per hour, we often propose a higher starting wage rate with incremental increases to a wage cap.  At these higher hourly rates, you will find it easier to attract and retain quality personnel.
We also realize that our desire to pay higher wage rates to attract and retain quality security officers must also bear the limitations of your budget.  We will review and analyze your budget constraints and discuss this with you.

Equipment Requirements
Advantages of introducing additional equipment, such as an electronic security officer tracking system or a Nextel cellular phone/radio with Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) tracking system will be evaluated during the service evaluation period and our recommendations discussed with you.
